This page last updated: June 08, 2001 04:59 PM. MST Files on this page have not yet been given the UOPro status. UOAssist.dll --- 1.19.2.6 - posted June 8, 2001 Changes (1.19.2.6 - June 8, 2001) 1 - Fixed a problem that caused macros to stop if the macro contained the 'makers mark' selection dialog appear. Version 1.19.2.5 introduced the problem. Changes (1.19.2.5 - June 6, 2001) 1 - Fixed a crash problem that occurred on Win9x systems when converting macros. 2 - Found a memory corruption problem in the settings cache system and fixed it. (related to above) Changes (1.19.2.4 May 31, 2001) 1 - Found and fixed a bug where the first value in a 'section' was not parsed correctly. Changes (1.19.2.3 May 30, 2001) 1 - Loading has been optimized for speed. 2 - There was a bug that caused macro 16 to overwrite macro 1 when converting settings from the registry to files. That was fixed.
Changes (1.19.2.2 May 25, 2001) 1 - Saving of macros and settings is much faster now (loading has not been optimized still) 2 - The default 'base' directory is now a directory called UOA-Settings and it is in the directory that UOAssist was run from. This change was made for those using both the 2d and 3d client. This means you'll need to move all of the UOAssist settings files and macro files manually OR see #3. 3- If you don't want the default directory set this in your registry: a string value at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Tugsoft/UOAssist/SettingsPath. Changes (1.19.2.1) -- 1 - UI runs in a separate thread to avoid 'blocking' the UO game screen from updating when you are in the UOAssist interface and have menus or other 'blocking' items visible. 2- All lines in macros can now be deleted. 3- Most UOAssist settings (hotkeys, macros, ...) are now stored in files in the same directories that UO stores its settings (macros ...). When you first log in a character UOAssist will convert your current settings to this new format. The UOAssist files have this naming convention - UOA*.cfg.
NOTES about test release - 1- The settings saving/loading code has not been optimized for speed yet and is slower than before. So when exiting you may notice it takes a second or two more. Also when switching between macros it takes longer 2- When UOAssist converts settings to the new format it removes the old settings out of the registry. Some settings like window position, load method, update date ... will remain in the registry. 3- If you know RegEdit you may want to backup your UOAssist settings which are at HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Tugsoft/UOAssist. That way if something is not working that is critical to you you will be able to restore your settings and use the 'release' version of UOAssist. This shouldn't be a problem but it may make you feel safer. 4- Since macros are now stored in files you can easily access you can copy macros between characters if you wish. BUT if you do this the macro will not work if it uses specific items. An example would be if you created a macro to lock and then pick 20 different chests. If the character you copy the macro to doesn't have the EXACT same chests as the macro was made for the macro will not work.
NOTE: The way to see the full version number of the files is to use explorer and right click on the file. Then select Properties from the menu that appears. Then a dialog will come up and you can select the Version tab. (NOTE: Netscape users, for some very odd reason Netscape may try and save the above dll as an exe. Make sure you save it as a dll or it won't work. Also if you right click on the link and do a Save Link As, Netscape correctly saves it as a dll. Very odd behavior here.) |
